How to protect the body from frequent colds. Frequent colds: causes, treatment

It slipped through .., frozen legs .., poorly dressed .., warmed up a lot .., there are solid microbes all around .., weak bronchi .., weak ears ... But you never know other reasons. For a person who often suffers from colds, no matter how he is careful, there is always and everywhere a reason for the next acute respiratory infection, bronchitis, otitis media, sinusitis, rhinitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis. And so endlessly from month to month, from year to year, and, as it turns out, the absolute majority of such unfortunates are not helped by hardening (but how to harden themselves if they have a cold all the time), or various rinses, or drinking special collections of herbs, or various measures to increase immunity. This is not an empty statement. At one time, when I was quite seriously ill and had many different complaints and diagnoses, I myself was constantly in a state of cold for about two years. In addition, I have a lot of patients and especially children who have suffered from various colds 10 - 20 times a year and are convinced of the ineffectiveness or small and only temporary effectiveness of the usually offered preventive measures on myself. There is another group of unfortunates - they do not necessarily get colds often, but they get out of it for a long or very long time, everyone coughs and blows their nose, sweats and does not gain strength.

The generally accepted idea of \u200b\u200blow immunity or weakness of the mucous membranes as the cause of the problem in such cases is erroneous. This is confirmed by many of my patients - children and adults who have got rid of frequent colds of various kinds.

The combination of methods from ancient and modern medicine in the diagnosis is an integral approach, the identification of many disorders in the body, not only equal to the disease, but also of lesser degree of changes, understanding the body as an integral system - a systematic approach, allow me in each case to identify the individual root cause of any ailment, including frequent colds. Long-term practice of the integral systemic approach allowed me to establish that the main cause of frequent colds is allergy, that is, not reduced immunity, but increased reactivity of the body and, first of all, of lymphoid tissue respiratory tract... I can say even more categorically - without allergy, chronic or frequent rhinitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, otitis media simply does not exist. Moreover, it should be borne in mind that allergy does not necessarily have to be manifested by urticaria, or intolerance to any product, or in some other obvious external way. Chronic edema lymphoid apparatus of the mucous membrane with impaired blood flow, lymph flow, metabolism, easy accession of infection, and there is one of the variants of obvious allergy, along with classic urticaria.

Nevertheless, such a fundamentally important statement is only the first step towards effective treatment of patients with this problem. Naturally, the question arises, what is the cause of allergy in each particular person? Those who have any obvious allergies naively say that the cause of their allergies is either pollen of plants, or cold, or chocolate, or eggs, or strawberries, or washing powder ... However, all this is never the cause of allergies - this is a lie provoking factors, and the reason is in the dysfunction of certain organs, designed to provide an adequate response to various allergens. Those who have such organs functioning poorly (and not necessarily clearly sick), just suffer from increased allergies. Too frequent helplessness of doctors in cases of frequent colds is explained by the fact that in such cases there is either a struggle to increase immunity, or to strengthen the "weak" mucous membranes, and the "culprit" organs remain outside the scope of attention. Firstly, this happens because a person is not considered as a single system in which the mucous membranes and the immune system do not exist separately from all other organs and tissues, and secondly, because changes in the organs, even when they think about them, are evaluated from the position: are they sick or not sick, while they may not be sick or healthy, that is, changes in them may have the character of dysfunction. Unfortunately, hospitals and polyclinics are not really involved in such diagnostics (as I have already said more than once, we are not talking about healers at all, since they are not professionals in the field of diseases and health, they do not do any significant diagnostics at all) ...

The systemic approach naturally implies that, despite the priority contribution of allergy to frequent colds, a certain role belongs to other disorders in the body that negatively affect metabolism, blood circulation, detoxification, and regulation.

So what is the cause of the allergy itself? The fact is that, despite the typological disorders in the body of all such people, the reason is always not only complex, but also individual. This is where one of the fundamental methodological principles of medicine comes into force: treatment should be preceded by an individual diagnosis in direct contact with the patient. It is in this case that both the main link and all accompanying or aggravating moments in a given patient can be established.

I want to note that I could describe here in sufficient detail the key typological causes of allergies and frequent colds, however, for a popular publication this would be too complex a description, and besides, this is my know-how. In medicine, know-how exists not only and not so much as a commercial category, but as a way to avoid discrediting a method or approach by their wrong or dishonest use. Evaluation of the effectiveness of a method or approach is possible only when they are applied by the author or his students approved by him.

Despite the above, I will nevertheless give in this article recommendations for dealing with various common colds. I have no doubt that with their careful implementation, very many will achieve remarkable results, although maximum efficiency is possible only after direct work with the patient.

So, the first thing to be observed: limiting obvious allergens. Here we mean not only what causes you an obvious allergy, but also what increases the general allergic background in all people: chocolate, citrus fruits, white sugar, lots of fish, lots of eggs, lots of white chicken meat, strawberries, lots of honey.

Next, alternate by day taking either 1 teaspoon of castor oil, or 1-2 tablets of allochol, or 2-3 tablets of activated carbon before bedtime (for children, respectively, 1 coffee spoon of oil, 1 tablet of allochol, 1-2 tablets of activated carbon) ...

Every day after lunch or dinner, apply a warm heating pad to the liver area for 10-20 minutes (the area of \u200b\u200bthe right costal arch).

Massage the back of the head and neck with your hands or a soft massage brush 1-2 times daily, as well as massage the upper lumbar region (above the waist) with your hands or any massager or towel. In the evening, apply a warm heating pad on the top of your lower back for 10-20 minutes. Take a warm thyme bath 1 to 2 times a week. For a bath, you can use a decoction (handful), or thyme essential oil (3 - 5 drops), or you can simply rinse after washing with thyme broth from a jug. Children should take 2 - 3 drops of oil for the bath, depending on age.

Perform a special acupressure massage regularly - acupressure. The acupressure prescribed by me according to the results of diagnostics is very effective, but you can apply the one recommended in various manuals for colds. There are two principles here: points should be massaged until painful from 20 seconds to 1.5 minutes and the more often, the better, that is, up to two times daily. However, the effect will be good even if you perform acupressure at least 3-4 times a week. With young children, acupressure can be difficult, but should still be done the way it works. Naturally small ones should not massage the points too hard.

Regularly practice performing special exercises from hatha yoga - asanas, primarily inverted asanas and snake and grasshopper poses. There are also two principles here: frequency - the more often, the better, but not bad at least 3-4 times a week; and the second principle is non-violence, that is, perform asanas so that there are no unpleasant or pain... Even if at first you will perform asanas clumsily and not for long, or even just imitate them. For young children, it is advisable to turn classes into a game, and since they are unlikely to be able to do everything correctly, at least imitate asanas.

Finally, practice contrasting treatments (showers, douches, rubdowns) regularly. Here are the most important principles: non-violence and the more often the better, although two to four times a week are enough. Do not perform feats, it is not necessary to douche for a long time, many times and very cold water... You can do two or three contrasting douches with cool or even slightly cool and hot water. The point here is not hardening, in the sense that it is usually understood, but in the training of those complex mechanisms that, among other things, are involved in the formation of adequate reactions to the effects of allergens.

And so, you got a clear, simple and harmless program for working on your problem. Of course, after direct diagnosis, this program would be more accurate individually and somewhat more extensive (I cannot give some recommendations without direct diagnosis). However, the above will be enough for many of you to be able to radically solve your problem, since these recommendations, no matter how simple and far from the respiratory tract, nevertheless affect the key, causal mechanisms of the formation of frequent colds.

I will add that in parallel, homeopathic treatment, any physical exercise, regular use of fortifying herbal teas can be useful.

Finally, one last important note. Be patient! Despite the fact that most of my patients like this have good results rather quickly, with absentee treatment it may take a little longer. Be punctual and patient and your colds will get easier and easier, and come less and less often.

Colds in adults Is a collection respiratory diseasescaused by viruses (ARVI), bacteria (ARI) or, in rare cases, other pathogenic organisms. Among all diseases of adults, colds are in the lead in terms of referral to polyclinics. Depending on the characteristics of the body, age group and the presence of concomitant diseases, the incidence rate can vary dramatically, while most often adults get sick only a few times a year, and the moments of illness coincide with the onset of seasonal epidemics.

The symptomatology of a cold in adults is specific and it is easy to recognize it already in the early stages. Usually, weakness, cramps in the eyes, difficulty breathing, and the temperature rises at first. Treatment started from the moment the first symptoms appear will be most effective.

Causes of the common cold in adults

For the occurrence of a cold, a combination of two factors is necessary: \u200b\u200bthe presence of the causative agent of the disease and the inability of the body to resist it. Many adults consider the common cold as something frivolous, not worthy of attention and often carry it on their feet. They do not go to doctors and do not think about the consequences of such behavior. In the meantime, an unreasonable attitude towards one's health leads to disastrous consequences, for example, mortality from colds can reach 40%, not to mention a huge number of possible complications, which depends on the individual characteristics of the patient and the time of visiting a medical institution.

Any cold disease occurs when the body's natural protective barriers are weakened. So, frequent colds in adults can be observed with chronic overwork, stress, lack of sleep, a sedentary lifestyle, improper and irrational diet. Addictive habits, such as alcohol abuse and smoking, play a special role in the formation of immunity. It has been proven that systematic poisoning of the body by these methods leads to a decrease in the production of antibodies to causative agents of colds. On the contrary, a healthy lifestyle allows the body to immediately respond to an external pathogen and immediately begin to develop protective bodies. Elderly individuals, people with chronic diseases, as well as those who have undergone radiation and chemotherapy are at a special risk group among the adult population. The probability of illness and the development of serious complications against the background of a cold is extremely high.

More than 90% of all colds are caused by viruses, and only less than 10% are caused by bacteria and other pathogens.

Viruses are non-cellular infectious pathogens that do not have their own organelles and are capable of reproducing only through the cells of the host organism. The genetic material of viruses is presented in the form of DNA or RNA, which can have the form of various structures (double-stranded, single-stranded, ring-shaped, etc.), and a special viral envelope protects it from destruction - the capsid. After connecting with a cell, the virus enters it and, multiplying, leads to rupture of the cell wall and death of the body cell.

As in all living organisms, the following taxonomic units are distinguished in viruses: order, family, subfamily, genus, species. There are a huge number of viruses that cause various diseases, but only a few can be attributed to viruses that cause frequent colds in adults:

- Orthomyxoviruses (influenza viruses);

- Paramyxoviruses (parainfluenza, respiratory syncytial virus);

- Coronaviruses (respiratory and enteric coronaviruses);

- Picoronoviruses (rhinoviruses, Coxsackie B enteroviruses);

- Adenoviruses;

- Reoviruses (orthoreoviruses);

- Herpes viruses (herpes simplex, Epstein-Barr virus)

Many viruses have the ability to mutate and acquire resistance to environmental factors and drugs. In this case, some antiviral drugs for colds in adults become ineffective and a new medicine has to be selected.

Bacteria are the most common group of microorganisms in nature. Almost all bacteria are unicellular and their size ranges from 0.1 to 3 microns, and the shape is spherical, rod-shaped or spiral-shaped.

A common cold in adults can be caused by either pathogenic bacteria or opportunistic pathogens. The first group includes those bacteria that should not be found in healthy body under no circumstances (pneumococci, meningococci, etc.). Infection with such a flora can occur upon contact with an infected person, or by contact, if personal safety measures are not observed. The second group includes bacteria that constantly live in the body and do not cause any harm to humans (E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.). The danger of a disease can arise in the event of a weakened immunity or an extreme growth of bacteria (for example, with an imbalance in the acid-base composition of the internal environment), in this case opportunistic bacteria manifest themselves as aggressors.

The main task in the fight against bacterial colds is the destruction of all developed flora (in the case of pathogenic bacteria), or reducing the flora to an acceptable level (in the case of conditionally pathogenic flora), while simultaneously conducting immunocorrective therapy.

Other pathogens (chlamydia, legionella, etc.). These microorganisms cause specific diseases (, etc.), which are treated with a special group of antibiotics and, strictly speaking, they cannot be attributed to colds, but the clinic that develops with them is very similar to the clinic of flu-like conditions.

The source of infection in almost all cases is a sick person who already has symptoms of a cold, or is still in the incubation stage. In this case, there are no symptoms yet, but the infection of another person may already occur. In each case, the duration of the period of possible infection depends on the type of causative agent of the common cold. Most often, the maximum infectiousness in the first days of the development of symptoms, the duration of the infectious period ranges from 5 days to 3-4 weeks.

The most common route of transmission is airborne. Even during normal conversation, a person releases microscopic droplets of liquid containing a pathogen into the environment at a distance of about a meter. When sneezing or coughing, microparticles spread for tens of meters around, which is why it is so important to use individual handkerchiefs and masks to prevent the spread of the pathogen.

The second route of transmission of infection is the contact-household route. By settling on various surfaces, bacteria and viruses can maintain their viability for a long time. Upon contact with objects contaminated with pathogens, viruses and bacteria are transferred first to the hands, and then to the mucous membranes. That is why, during periods of epidemics, it is advised to wash your hands as often as possible and try not to touch your face and eyes once again.

Symptoms and signs of the common cold in adults

Like any disease, the common cold in adults has a number of the following signs that allow it to be suspected:

Temperature. A rise in temperature above 37.0 ° C is one of the main symptoms of a cold. It is due to the body's reaction to the penetration of the pathogen and the direct influence of the pathogen itself. Antibodies produced by the human body, as well as toxins of the pathogen and particles of its destroyed membrane, begin to act on the tremoregulation center, or the pyrogenic center located in the hypothalamus. Temperature change consists of three stages:

- Temperature rise. The entire body system is rebuilt for the formation and retention of heat. The superficial vessels are narrowed, the skin becomes pale, sweating decreases, a rhythmic muscle contraction occurs, the so-called shaking or chills. During this period, you want to wrap yourself up as warmly as possible and drink hot tea.

- Temperature preservation. During this period, the temperature reached its maximum. Slight daily fluctuations are possible. The duration of this condition can vary from 1 day to a week. At the same time, the vessels of the skin expand, pallor disappears, the skin is hot, a person experiences a feeling of heat, tremors and chills disappear, increased photosensitivity, discomfort in the eyes appears.

- Decrease in temperature. May occur on its own or when applied medicines, decrease gradually (lytically) or sharply (critically). The body gives off heat at this stage. The vessels dilate, the skin turns red, sweating increases.

Depending on the size of the numbers, the temperature for a cold in adults can be subfebrile (37.1-38.0ᵒC), febrile (38.1-39.0ᵒC), pyretic (39.1-40.0ᵒC), hyperpyretic (above 40 , 0ᵒС).

In order to avoid complications, at temperatures above 38 ° C, you should start taking antipyretic drugs. An increase in temperature to 40 ° C and above is an unconditional indication for calling an ambulance or a doctor. This must also be done if the temperature cannot be lowered on its own, even at lower numbers. The temperature for a cold in adults should decrease gradually, since a critical drop can cause the development of formidable complications, such as collapse.

Intoxication. A symptom caused by exposure of organs and tissues to toxins of pathogens or their own substances, developed in order to fight infection. Intoxication manifests itself in the form of myalgia (muscle pain), weakness, nausea, and sleep disturbances.

Nasal congestion and / or runny nose. Difficulty breathing due to edema of the nasal mucosa can be both an independent symptom (), and a symptom preceding the onset of a cold. A runny nose develops due to the sweating of the liquid part of the blood through the vessels during vasodilation. Usually, the formation of mucus provokes irritation of the nasal mucosa and a new symptom of the common cold appears - sneezing. The nature of nasal discharge directly depends on the pathogen, so, with a viral infection, the discharge is homogeneous, mucous, sometimes slightly whitish, while with a bacterial discharge, the discharge can be viscous, up to the formation of crusts, yellowish or greenish in color.

A complication of the inflammatory process in the nasal cavity is the spread to the paranasal sinuses, and then an immediate visit to the doctor becomes mandatory.

Sore throat and sore throat. Also common symptoms in coldsx in adults. Their intensity is associated with the type of pathogen - with viral infections, there may be no pain at all, or they will be mild; with bacterial pain, they can be so pronounced that it becomes difficult to talk and eat. When examining the pharynx, swelling, redness, an increase in the volume of the tonsils, as well as pathological changes and overlays are usually noted. Small red or burgundy dots on the pharynx may indicate viral nature diseases, overlapping in the form of whitish spots on the tonsils - on the bacterial. Particular attention should be paid to volumetric or numerous changes, as well as the appearance of difficult-to-separate films or painful formations. In these cases, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible!

Cough. It can be dry (no sputum production), unproductive (with a heavy discharge of a small amount of sputum), and productive (with good sputum discharge). A dry cough may indicate a localization of the process only in the upper sections respiratory system, without involvement of the bronchi, or on the defeat of the bronchi without excretion of sputum. Only a doctor can understand the degree of damage! That is why, if a cough occurs, you need to contact him. The nature of the sputum can help in identifying the pathogen, for example, transparent mucous discharge is a sign of a viral lesion, yellowish or greenish is a bacterial one. Improper treatment of cough can cause such formidable complications as pneumonia and pleurisy, so do not abuse self-medication!

Rash on the skin and mucous membranes. This is a rather rare symptom that manifests itself in the form of punctate hemorrhages. Most often, it indicates the viral nature of the disease (flu), but in any case, it is the reason for contacting a medical institution.

Treating colds in adults

Cold treatment is a set of measures aimed at both the causative agent of the disease and the developed symptoms. In addition to medications, a special regimen is required. As a rule, the treatment of colds in adults is carried out without hospitalization in a hospital. Only categories of persons with high risksas well as patients with developed severe complications. If you experience the above symptoms, you should definitely see a doctor! An exception can only be cases with minor symptoms, no fever, without a significant change in the general condition.

The treatment regimen is essential in effective treatment colds. All patients should adhere to bed or semi-bed rest. The diet should be balanced, with light and quickly digestible food. It is not recommended to eat fried, spicy and fatty foods during this period. A plentiful warm drink is recommended in order to quickly eliminate toxins, decoctions and slightly alkaline drinks will be useful. Vitamin therapy will also have a positive effect on strengthening the weakened body, you can use both conventional vitamin products (Undevit, Geksavit, etc.) and drugs in combination with trace elements (Alphabet, Biomax, etc.).

In the treatment of colds in adults, there are three main directions of therapy: etiotropic (fights directly with the causative agent of the disease), pathogenetic (affects the protective functions of the body) and symptomatic (fights against developed symptoms).

Etiotropic therapy for viral colds is not very diverse, since there are not many drugs that directly affect the virus (Remantadin, Tamiflu, Ingavirin, etc.), as well as immunomodulatory agents (Anaferon, Aflubin, Otsillokotsinum, Grippferon, etc.). An antibiotic for a cold is prescribed for an adult in case of a bacterial infection (Azithromycin, Amoxiclav, Ciprofloxacin, etc.), and is also prescribed bacterial immunostimulants (IRS-19, Immudon, etc.).

Pathogenetic therapy has a wide spectrum of action, and, as a rule, is prescribed only by a doctor, these are bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory, desensitizing, etc.

Symptomatic treatment is aimed at reducing and relieving symptoms of the common cold in adults - these are pain relievers, antipyretic, antitussive and expectorant drugs (mucolytics), drugs for nasal congestion.

Medicines and antibiotics for colds in adults

The vast majority of cold remedies can cause side effects when used, which is why it is not recommended to self-medicate. With regard to antibiotics, another side effect can be the development of resistance of the microorganism to the drug. An antibiotic for a cold can only be prescribed to an adult by a doctor, and all his prescriptions should be followed without question!

Antiviral drugs with a cold in adults, for the most part, they can be used for both treatment and prevention of colds:

- Remantadine. Inexpensive and effective drug... Treatment must be started at the first manifestations of a cold disease and carried out according to the scheme established by the instructions.

- Arbidol. Available in pill and capsule form. A single dose of 200 mg. It is better to start treatment with the first manifestations of a cold and continue for 5 days according to the instructions.

- Kagocel. Antiviral and immunostimulating drug. A single dose of the drug - 2 tablets. It is used at the first symptoms of a cold in adults, treatment is carried out according to the instructions. Prophylactic administration is carried out in weekly courses, with intervals between taking pills in five days.

Among the most popular and safe immunomodulators are:

- Anaferon. Sweet-tasting lozenges. Treatment begins with the first symptoms of a cold, according to the instructions attached to the medicine. The course takes place before complete recovery.

- Oscillococcinum. Homeopathic medicine used from the first days of life.

Combined drugs are used for muscle pain, headache and fever:

- Theraflu. One sachet three times a day up to 3 days. Means such as Fervex, Coldrex, Grippoflu, etc. also have similar actions and method of application.

- Panadol. An effective antipyretic drug. The dosage regimen depends on the patient's condition.

- Eferalgan oops. Dissolve the tablet in water, take up to 4 times a day.

With severe nasal congestion and rhinitis, drops are used:

- Xilen. It has a vasoconstrictor effect. Reduces swelling and allows you to breathe freely through your nose in a short time. Long-term use is not recommended due to the development of addiction to the drug.

- Tizine. Helps to liquefy viscous mucus, relieves swelling and makes breathing easier.

- Pinosol. Herbal preparation based on essential oils. Has a local bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effect. Relieves puffiness and looses mucus.

For pain and sore throat, various pills and plates for colds in adults (Grammidin, Falimint, Hexoral, etc.) are used up to 6 tablets per day. Sprays and aerosols are also used (Jocks, Cameton, etc.), making injections up to 3 times a day.

Depending on the type of cough, the following drugs are used: for dry - Tussin, Gedelix, etc., mucolytics - ACC, Ambrobene, etc., which have an antitussive effect - Codelac, Terpinkod, etc.

Cold in adults - which doctor will help? If you have cold symptoms, adults should seek advice and treatment from a therapist or infectious disease specialist.

Autumn came, and with it came the turn persistent colds and viruses. We are all busy people and cannot afford to relax at home for a long time and leisurely engage in medical procedures. It is better to suppress any disease before it occurs, and immunity must be increased.

If you have found in yourself such signs of weak immunity as rapid fatigue, constant fatigue, frequent colds, frequent insomnia or drowsiness, aching joints and muscles, chronic diseases , you need to read our article carefully! We will tell you about how not to get sick and stay healthy in the worst season, as well as how to strengthen health and increase immunity. 10 simple rules will help you with this.

1) It is not surprising that strong immunity is based on healthy eating... You can improve and strengthen immunity with regular, at least three times a day, nutrition. Your diet should be varied and should include dairy products, meat, vegetables, fruits, herbs, fish. Sufficient intake of plant food with fiber, as well as the use of dairy products with lactic acid bacteria, helps to normalize the composition of the intestinal microflora, has a positive effect on strengthening and strengthening the immune system. The first step is to increase your intake of foods high in vitaminsC, E and A.

Here are foods that have a particularly positive effect on immunity: Pumpkin; Carrots and broccoli Greens and citrus fruits; Milk products; Olive oil; Salmon; Squash and squash; Kiwi and strawberries; Nuts (especially pine nuts), Seaweed.

Avoid foods high in cholesterol: Liver, Brains, Lard, Chicken eggs (although it is not forbidden to include one egg per day in the menu).

2) In order not to get sick and maintain health is also important full sleep... This term refers to uninterrupted sleep of seven to nine hours a day. Of course, the time you need depends on the characteristics of the organism. Regular lack of sleep can lead to the formation of chronic fatigue syndrome, which is manifested by rapid fatigue, irritability, weakness and drowsiness.

3) In order to be healthy, you need to live an active life and find a place physical activities... Most modern people lead a sedentary lifestyle, which undoubtedly undermines our health and immunity. A great advice for those who want to be always in shape is regular walking. It is recommended to walk at least three kilometers, or at least thirty minutes of continuous walking. Daily exercises (such as light leg and abdominal exercises, stretching exercises) can also help. Start with at least 15 minutes a day and you won't notice how quickly you will get involved and, in addition to excellent health, you will also get a toned look!

4) In addition, an important point for maintaining health is elimination of stress and reducing the number of stressful situations... Stress is a powerful destroyer of the human immune system, and after suffering stress, a person can develop chronic diseases such as diabetes! A warm bath, calm music, yoga, meditation helps to relax well. And, of course, a calm and sober view of things even in the most difficult situation. As you know, nerve cells are not restored, so it is better to save them for the future. They will still come in handy.

5) Also one of the proven ways to strengthen immunity is cold and hot shower... This simple procedure improves blood circulation, promotes vascular function. It is important to note that showers are not recommended for people with vascular and heart disease. The advice is very simple - every day stand in the shower for 10-15 seconds under hot water, and then 10-15 seconds under cold water and repeat this alternation 3-5 times. After showering, rub your skin well with a towel.

6) Next, we list several RECIPES OF FOLK MEDICINEthat will prevent you from getting sick. To raise immunity, cranberries and decoctions of various herbs... To prepare a remedy for raising immunity based on cranberries, you will need: a pound of cranberries, a couple of green apples and a glass of walnut kernels, half a glass of water and a pound of sugar. The apples should be cut into cubes (no peeling), then add all the other ingredients and bring to a boil over low heat. Divide the resulting mixture into glass jars and take 1 tablespoon in the morning and evening.

7) Also an excellent means of increasing immunity is the so-called vitamin compote. It needs herbs - mint, lemon balm, ivan tea, chestnut flowers and berries - cranberries, black currants, cherries and any others. For a liter of boiling water, you need to take 5 tablespoons of herbs, brew and let it brew for two hours. Boil the berries in two liters of water. Mix the resulting decoctions in equal proportions. You need to drink such a compote every day, 0.5 liters.

Still good for boosting immunity rosehip compotes, since it is in this berry that the content of vitamin C is very high. The recipe is simple: chop two tablespoons of dried rose hips, pour 0.5 liters of water, boil for 15 minutes over low heat. Insist during the night. Drink like tea, honey or Cahors can be added.

It should be added that the most immune-raising berry is sea \u200b\u200bbuckthorn... To achieve a quick effect, it is recommended to drink 3 glasses of sea buckthorn juice a day and as much fruit drink from frozen berries or jam as you like.

8) There is still such an interesting way to raise health and increase immunity, as vitamin bath... To prepare it, you need leaves, dry fruits or twigs of raspberries, currants, sea buckthorn, lingonberries, rose hips, mountain ash. You can take several components, it is not necessary to search for all. Take them in equal amounts, pour boiling water over and leave for 5-10 minutes. This broth should be added to the bath. You can also add a few drops of eucalyptus and cedarwood oil to your bath. It takes 10-15 minutes to take such a bath. With the help of this procedure, you can not only improve immunity, but also soothe headaches, make breathing easier for colds and relieve body aches.

9) You can also use to strengthen the immune system for food dietary supplements. Of course, it is better to stick to folk methods in this matter, but some remedies are also effective. In order not to get sick, do not forget about such a sure remedy as Echinacea tincture, which can be found in every pharmacy and its purchase will not hit the budget at all. Also recommend "Feocarpin" - based on chlorophyll, "Astin" - based on the microalgae Hematococcus, "Timusamin" and "Epifamin" (peptide drugs) and ordinary mummy (about, 3 grams. Daily for 20 days). In addition, it is worth paying attention to "Cordyceps" and "Pau d'Arco", "Shark Liver Fat", various honey pills of the "Tentorium" company and "Rialam" from "Spring of Health".

10) And at the end of our list of remedies for increasing immunity, perhaps the most unusual recommendation. There is a scientifically proven fact that in order for health not to fail and immunity to be strong, it is necessary to regularly resort to intellectual stress. It is then that special activating substances - neuroimmunommediators - begin to be produced in our body. Without these substances, even the most miraculous medicine will not help the immune system. Therefore, we strongly recommend reading smart books, solving philosophical questions, developing and you will not have time for illness!

Now you know all the basic things that will allow you to maintain health, strengthen immunity and calmly do more important things than treating an inappropriately caught cold. Do not be ill! 🙂

Almost every person cares about the ability of his body to resist various diseases. Despite this, there are objective risk groups of people who have a decrease in immunity.

First of all, a decrease in immune function is characteristic of newborns and the elderly. A similar phenomenon can be observed after surgical treatment... Also, the body weakens after heavy exertion and regular stress.

Because of all these factors, people often get colds. How to boost immunity different ways discussed in this article.

It is necessary to pay attention to those drugs that contain trace elements that directly increase immunity. Among herbal medicines, the most effective are those containing echinacea extract.

How to improve immunity if you often get colds: take several drugs for complex treatment. In this case, the chance to call side effect from an overdose of one drug is significantly reduced. Drug treatment it is not recommended to carry out more than 4 times a year.

Note! The effect of any drugs that increase immunity is manifested no earlier than a week after the start of the course.

Synthesized drugs (Trekrezan) also contribute to the strengthening of immunity, which additionally has a rejuvenating effect on the body.

First of all, the prescribed medicines fight the existing infections. Further, intracellular processes and metabolism are normalized. In the final stages, the body must be saturated with vitamins and essential trace elements.

The most popular means for increasing immunity are Anaferon, Blasten, Immunal, Manax and others.

Vitamin complexes to enhance immunity

Among the variety of known vitamins, it is antioxidants that perform the protective function for the body.

The B vitamins are not characterized by their typical immune-supporting effects. However, without them, the body does not produce antibodies that effectively fight against various viruses, free radicals and cancer cells.

Substances of this group are able to activate the protective functions of the body, normalize the composition of the blood after diseases.

Lifestyle changes as a way to boost immunity

People who lead an unhealthy lifestyle often suffer from colds (how to increase immunity will be discussed later). Moderate exercise and proper nutrition will help change the situation.

A sedentary lifestyle and leisure leads to a decrease in the general tone of the body. You should strive for walking, in the maximum rejection of personal transport. Regular visits to the pool or gym can help improve your health. It is better to replace watching TV with active leisure activities.

Sleep quality should be monitored. Regular stress, problems at home and other life troubles provoke a violation of the night's rest. As a result, a person becomes irritable, his working capacity and attentiveness decreases, fatigue accumulates and, ultimately, his state of health worsens.

Interesting fact! Due to the abundance of active points on the soles of the feet, regular walking barefoot (in nature and at home) has a positive effect on immunity. Medical scientists have proven that those who like to walk without shoes are not afraid of problems associated with a weakened immune system.

Tempering and bathing to increase immunity

In addition to the means that involve ingestion, there are measures of physical influence on the body, which are also effective in strengthening the immune system.
The most common of these is hardening.

This procedure should be started with a comfortable water temperature, gradually lowering it.

Even if a person very often suffers from colds and strives to improve immunity as soon as possible, he should not rush headlong into an ice hole in order to experience the limit of his capabilities. Such a measure will only harm your health.

Regular visits to the pool or gym can help improve your health.

The most pleasant procedure for strengthening the immune system is a regular visit to the bathhouse or sauna. Under the influence of steam and high temperature air, the body gets rid of toxins, blood vessels become cleaner, and the immune system is strengthened.

What to do to stop often getting sick with colds, see the video:

Frequent colds can unsettle anyone. If a person is constantly sick, his life turns into continuous pills, drops and mustard plasters, and endless sick leave leaves do not add to him either the love of his superiors, or, of course, any hopes for career growth. What could be the cause of frequent colds and how can you fight it?

People who suffer 6 or more colds per year are often considered ill, and the cause of colds is almost always viral infection... Viruses are especially annoying for babies, at present pediatricians bring such children into a special group "BWD" (often sick children) and keep them under special supervision. As a rule, as they grow and mature, children get sick less and less often, while in adulthood, a healthy person should ideally not get sick more than twice a year, and the causes of these diseases should lie in the plane of seasonal epidemics of influenza and SARS.

Alas, unfortunately, few of us today can boast of such good health - according to statistics, the average Russian suffers 3-4 colds a year, and residents of large cities, in particular Muscovites, get sick even more often. And first of all, this is due to the weakening of immunity, which is facilitated by a number of factors.

What is immunity

Any intrusion of foreign material (we call it antigen) immediately causes the so-called. cellular immune response, expressed in the production of special phagocyte cells that capture and neutralize the antigen. But this is not the only line of defense. There is also humoral immunity, according to which the antigen is rendered harmless by special chemically active molecules - antibodies. These antibodies are special serum proteins in the blood called immunoglobulins.

The third strategy of the body's defense is the so-called nonspecific immunity. This is a barrier formed by our skin and, as well as the presence of special, destroying microorganisms, enzymes in the body fluids. If the virus has entered the cell, this does not mean that it has won - in a person with strong immunity, a special cellular protein, interferon, is produced in response to this, which is exactly accompanied by a high temperature.

As you can see, nature provides many opportunities to defend against the aggression of viruses and bacteria. But it was not by chance that we mentioned that our contemporary, and especially a resident of a metropolis, as a rule, cannot boast of strong immunity. And there are reasons for this.

Why immunity decreases

The most global reason for a decrease in immunity is our notorious wrong way of life.

Signs of decreased immunity

  • Of course, frequent colds
  • Exacerbation of chronic diseases
  • Fatigue and weakness
  • Nervousness, aggressiveness,
  • Disorders of the digestive tract: flatulence, constipation, weak stools
  • Unsatisfactory skin condition: dryness, flaking, acne, inflammation, etc.

One or all of these signs should motivate you to take preventive measures and help your immune system. There are numerous methods and ways to boost your body's immune defenses. And they are all divided into physiological and pharmacological.

Physiological methods of raising immunity.

  • must necessarily contain animal and plant proteins (without them, the cells of the immune system work poorly), and the entire spectrum of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamins C, A, E and B vitamins.

Proteins are found in meat, fish, eggs, legumes, nuts. B vitamins are also found in meat and liver, raw yolks, dairy products, wholemeal bread and bran, seeds and nuts. Sprouted wheat grains, vegetable oil and avocado are rich in vitamin E. Vitamin A is found in any brightly colored vegetables and fruits: carrots, tomatoes, apricots, pumpkin, paprika, and there is also a lot of it in butter, eggs, liver.

Contained in citrus fruits, kiwi, sauerkraut, cranberries, rose hips. A sufficient amount of these vitamins is the key to a good condition of the cells of the immune system.

It is equally important to regularly drink fermented milk drinks to maintain the intestinal microflora.

  • Daily routine and physical activity. The body must be at least 8 hours a day, a sane work schedule without overwork after midnight, sports are mandatory (winter views and swimming are especially good), long walks in any weather. The apartment should be often ventilated, and sleep - with the window open.
  • Hardening. There are a lot of hardening techniques. These are cool foot baths, and dousing with cool water, and walking barefoot on the grass. The most important thing is to start in the warm season, so that by the winter cold you can refuse your favorite woolen scarf, in which it is so hot, but without it, you are afraid of "catching a cold."

Pharmacological methods of raising immunity

  • Prophylactic reception 2-3 times a year natural: eleutherococcus, golden root, ginseng, echinacea, aloe. According to the dosage indicated on the package, take these tinctures in the morning and evening. In the evening, brew lemon balm or motherwort to reduce the effect of stress on your immune system.
  • Preventively, and especially during the period of massive seasonal epidemics, you can take homeopathic remedies to increase immunity, of which there are now enough.
  • 2-3 times a year to drink a course (4-6 weeks) of probiotics (linex, bifidumbacterin, etc.)
  • The question of the use of serious immunomodulators, such as bronchomunal, ribomunil, etc. be sure to decide only with an immunologist!
